Product Information

Overview

The Berridge Manufacturing FW-12 Panel is designed for architectural projects that benefit from wider panel coverage and a refined, uniform appearance. Commonly specified as exterior metal soffit panels, the FW-12 system also performs across wall, ceiling, fascia and liner applications where durability and visual consistency are essential. Its 12-inch profile creates strong, uninterrupted lines that enhance both modern and traditional building designs.

Engineered for installation over open framing or solid sheathing, the FW-12 panel provides flexibility during construction while maintaining a precise, finished look once installed. Concealed fasteners help preserve clean surfaces and contribute to the panel’s professional appearance across exterior and interior assemblies.

Appearance And Customization

The FW-12 panel offers a range of visual options that allow designers to adjust texture and depth without altering the panel’s structural profile. A smooth finish is standard, while optional vee-grooves and striations introduce subtle definition and shadowing across large surfaces. For projects requiring airflow, vented panel configurations are available, making the FW-12 panel well-suited for exterior metal soffit applications.

Optional stucco embossing adds surface texture and expands the panel’s adaptability across different architectural styles, from contemporary commercial projects to more traditional designs.

Material Options

To accommodate a variety of performance requirements, the FW-12 panel is available in multiple metal substrates. Architects and builders may specify 24- or 22-gauge steel for strength and rigidity, or 0.032 and 0.040 aluminum for lighter-weight applications. Each option is manufactured with consistency and precision to support long-term durability and uniform appearance.

System Details

With a full 12-inch panel coverage, the FW-12 system efficiently covers vertical surfaces while maintaining balanced proportions. Panels are designed for vertical installation and are suitable for wall, soffit, ceiling, fascia and screen wall applications.

The concealed fastening system keeps attachment points hidden, allowing the panel face to remain visually uninterrupted. An optional seam-lock feature is available for projects requiring additional performance considerations or specific approvals.

Installation Notes

FW-12 panels are factory-produced in continuous lengths up to 40 feet, minimizing seams and supporting efficient installation. Vented panels provide 7.79 square inches of Net Free Vent Area per linear foot, supporting airflow in soffit and ceiling assemblies.

Berridge Manufacturing does not recommend vented panels in aggressive atmospheres, marine environments or high-humidity conditions due to the potential impact of exposed steel edges. Projects specifying 22-gauge material may require a minimum order of 4,500 square feet. For applications requiring Florida Product Approvals or Miami-Dade NOA compliance, the seam-locking feature is required.

Typical Uses

The FW-12 panel is frequently used for exterior metal soffits, architectural wall systems, commercial ceilings, residential fascias, screen walls and metal panel siding. Its wider profile, adaptable finish options and reliable construction make it a practical choice for projects that prioritize both visual clarity and long-term performance.

A Refined Architectural Solution

With decades of experience in architectural metal manufacturing, Berridge Manufacturing developed the FW-12 panel to deliver dependable performance with a refined appearance. The system’s broad coverage, flexible design options and precise fabrication support architects, contractors and builders seeking an exterior metal soffit panel solution built for lasting value.
