Underwood Sheetmetal, Inc. was established in 1998 as a joint venture with Peak Roofing, Inc. Owner and President Jeff Underwood decided in the fall of 1998 that his 20-plus years of experience and extensive contact list could help a new company become viable in the highly competitive Houston roofing/sheet metal market. Since its inception, Underwood Sheet Metal has established a reputation for craftsmanship and reliability. Underwood Sheet Metal’s commitment to craftsmanship and creativity is demonstrated in their detail work on high-quality ornamental elements such as copper domes and steeples as well as lead-coated copper roofing and trim items. This craftsmanship has made Underwood a leader in roofing and sheet metal work for worship and religious facilities.
A key factor in Underwood Sheet Metal’s rapid growth has been its affiliation with Berridge Manufacturing Company. Berridge’s portable roll formers and quality factory products have enabled Underwood to grow the company into one of the largest roofing and sheet metal contracting firms in Southeast Texas. According to owner and president Jeff Underwood: “Being able to form our own panels using Berridge portable roll-forming equipment gives as superior quality control which you just can’t get with factory-formed panels!”
