About Lexus of Lakeway

Lexus of Lakeway is an approximately 85,000 square foot car dealership, northwest of the Austin, Texas, area. With 11,800 square feet of Sales and Showroom, 54 service bays and a 9 vehicle hand Car Wash, this dealership exceeds expectations in every way. The substantial size of the facility presented many design challenges to stay within the confines of the local zoning ordinances, which included prohibiting flat roofs and strict height limitations. To overcome these obstacles, a tiered roof design was utilized. This strategy allowed for compliance with the zoning ordinances, as well as, allowing the building to blend into the surrounding community by not appearing to be a car dealership in the traditional sense. The tiered roof design is a fusion of a traditional and contemporary Texas hill-country aesthetics.

The selection of the Berridge Manufacturing Zee-Lock standing seam metal roofing, in Charcoal Grey, provided both the performance and look needed to capture the desired design elements for this project. The Zee-Lock structural standing seam roof simplified the architectural detailing and the actual construction of the roof. This resulted in savings to the owner in both money and time. Additionally, the Berridge Manufacturing L-Panel, in Shasta White, was used to complete the soffits and covered porch display area. The aesthetic of the tiered roof and Zee-Lock blends in nicely with the overall feel of the surrounding community and gives the project the look of a hill-country resort.
