GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Berridge Manufacturing Company is looking for a creative Graphic Designer who enjoys working in a diverse environment and loves the challenge of discovering how to communicate and motivate multiple target audiences to engage with the brand through multiple platforms. Candidate will need to be able to translate marketing and branding strategies into innovative and impressive campaigns that stimulate targeted audiences through multiple avenues to include print, digital, social media and trade show venues.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and execute design concepts for print, digital and trade show campaigns. The department project list is very extensive. Therefore, someone with an extensive and diverse design background with strong creative skills is preferred. Individual will need to have excellent time management skills and be self-motivated. Candidates with B2B or B2C experience, outside of an agency, are preferred. Candidates with a Business degree background, to include design and software training are preferred.
  • Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience and work with team to reach marketing goals.
  • Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines.
  • Stay on top of all general marketing trends, to include understanding the industry and competitor’s strategies, and maintain best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as Art director or Graphic Designer working from concept to completion.
  • Hands on experience with copy writing, typography, photo correction, web design, print production and layout, and image selection.
  • Proficient use of Adobe CS and Microsoft Office. Comfortable working in a Mac OS environment.
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
  • Strong ability to incorporate feedback and provide creative solutions.
  • Team player with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design, or Communications is preferred. 3-5 years of experience working as a Designer or Art Director, with some Business experience outside of an Ad Agency environment is preferred.

The principal function of this position is to:

Sell and market Berridge products by maintaining and expanding company’s customer base.

The priorities of this role include:

Ensuring regional sales objectives and financial goals are met by meeting with architects to promote specification of Berridge products, counsel customers on product lines, identify new customers, create and implement strategic sales plan, and submit weekly reports to Management.

BRANCH MANAGER

The Branch Manager is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of the Berridge Manufacturing Branch office including operations, product sales, customer service, and security / safety in accordance with the corporate headquarters objectives. Provides a superior level of customer relations, guidance and staff motivation, and achieves individual and branch sales goals through active participation between outside and inside sales management. Delegates day to day office operations to branch personnel, and required to perform all duties in the absence of personnel.

The Branch Manager must have the ability to:

  • Plan, Organize, and Manage goals and branch procedures
  • Understand, interpret, and explain Berridge’s Product Line
  • Manage daily operational procedures
  • Identify and analyze administrative problems and implement changes
  • Communicate effectively with Higher Management, Berridge Branches, and Employees
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all BMC Personnel
  • Organize and Prioritize work assignments
  • Supervise the management and records of material inventory
  • Have an understanding of all shipping procedures
  • Evaluate, obtain authorizations, bids, and oversee building maintenance

  • Recognize and respect limit of authority and responsibility
  • Perform other duties as assigned by higher management

The Branch Manager should have the strength, patience, coordination, and vision to manage the facility. The ability to speak and hear sufficiently to communicate clearly and effectively with all BMC personnel. Occasional lifting of objects weighing over 20 lbs, moving from place to place within the plant, and sitting or standing for long periods of time are all significant physical characteristics of the Branch Manager.

FIELD INSPECTOR

The San Antonio, Texas branch of Berridge Manufacturing Company, a leader in the architectural metal panel industry for over 40 years, is hiring an experienced, full-time Watertightness Warranty Inspector to perform inspections on metal roofing installations.

The principal function of this position is to:

Inspect roofing system installations to ensure compliance with pre-approved installation drawings.

The priorities of this role include:

Inspecting roofing contractors’ work, writing daily inspection reports, photographing and uploading digital pictures of contractors’ work, communicating with customer’s representatives, assisting with quality assurance testing of products and materials, and constructing assemblies for R&D and performance testing as needed.

The ideal candidate should possess and demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:

  • Extensive understanding of metal roofing and construction industry.
  • Experience in project safety, quality assurance compliance, and inspection processes.
  • Familiarity with construction inspection techniques, including the ability to use construction field equipment and record construction data.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting construction plans and details, books of standards, special provisions, and specifications for proper construction.
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to handle multiple projects and high-pressure situations.
