Shortly after being founded in 1975, Metal Systems Inc.began using Berridge aluminum shake shingles on convenience store mansard facades. Since then, the company has evolved into a specialty contracting firm, offering a broad range of products including composite panels, translucent wall panels, skylite systems, carport structures, light gage framing and other cladding and framing products.
When Berridge Manufacturing Company expanded its ranges of products and services to include site forming equipment and premium coil material, Metal Systems acquired a Berridge Model SS-14 portable roll former which forms continuous-length straight or radiused standing seam roof panels. This enabled them to become a full-service architectural fabricator-installer. As Berridge introduced specialized roll forming equipment such as its Model SL-24 which forms tapered standing seam roof panels, Metal Systems was able to offer a greater range of panel shapes. "The Titus Regional Medical Center pictured in this article is a good example of how Berridge's roll forming equipment and technical and design support helped us do a quality job", notes Joe Goree, Sales Manager.
Today, Metal Systems Inc. is a full-service specialty contracting firm with a fully-staffed design, drafting and estimating department. Their modern, well-equipped sheet metal shop features a Roper-Whitney Autobrake 2000 Folding Machine and ten-foot shear.
